Once In Forever
Jackson and Nova.
I felt like I didn’t do this book justice. When I first released it, so many grammatical errors were overlooked. I was so focused on meeting a self-imposed deadline that I hadn’t even thought to read through the edits. Because of this, the story was drowned out by my mistakes.
So, I decided to get it reedited, read through it, and re-release it.
Nova and Jackson’s story was magical. She was a single mother working while in school for her master's. Jackson was in the midst of a traumatic divorce when he met Nova. They provided each other with the kind of support that most people pray for.
The main point that I wanted Black women to take from Once in Forever is that it is okay to accept what is ours. We do not have to struggle and constantly remain strong. Though I understand that the world hasn’t made life easy for us, we deserve to attract love in all the forms that it comes. Yes, be self-sufficient but do not miss out on a blessing due to stubbornness.
Allow a man that genuinely loves you to take care of you in every way that he can. That doesn’t make you less of a woman. We deserve to be taken care of, sis.
And Jackson made sure to take care of Nova.
