Yearn for Me
The second/final book of the For Me series.
I struggled with making the second book an erotica. Having gone back and forth with the idea for days, I chose to make it an erotica as well.
Although my readers love them, writing sex scenes can be exhausting. I intend to focus on passion/sensuality and less on vulgarity. Though I believe I did that with both Feign for Me and Yearn for Me, it wasn’t easy. The last thing I wanted was for their relationship to appear as if it was rooted in sex because it wasn’t at all. I’ve written multiple books, and I consider Mac and Christela’s relationship to have the most depth.
With Yearn for Me, I knew how I was going to start and end it but had no clue how I would get there. So, I let the story write itself. When I felt it, I wrote, and when I didn’t, I wouldn’t. I believe that’s what makes Mac and Christela’s story so organic. There was no forcing it; it happened when it was meant to.
I haven’t written a series since and probably won’t, but it pushed me out of my comfort zone, making it one of my best books.
