Finding Freedom: Wrapped in Love’s Armour

Disclaimer: Although I am on the cover of Finding Love, it’s not about any of my personal experiences.

It is my longest book to date at just under sixty-three thousand words. Rise and Armour’s story was one of healing, growth, and love. As with all my books, each character is given their name for specific reasons. But none as powerful as Armour and Rise.].

Armour’s name is a play on amour and armor. By reading Finding Freedom, you’ll find out why.

Rise’s name is self-explanatory, but knowing her story illustrates just how important names are.

I think the character development in this book is one of my best ones. It’s definitely one of my favorite books. Though intended, Rise started as a weaker character who had to find her strength. Armour had to watch her do this from the sidelines, which was difficult for a man like Armour.

The way these two connected is a reminder of my purpose as a writer of Black romance. Love is more than falling for someone. Love is about finding freedom, and sometimes we have to remember to love ourselves first.
