The One That I Love

The One That I Love was a staple in my writing career.

My twelfth book was released, celebrating my twelve years as a published author.

A friends to lover story that was rooted in sacrifice. Lovely and Obi were everything for one another.

When the idea first popped into my head, I wrote the first chapter and stopped. After reading that one chapter three times, I decided it was best to wait to write their story. It wasn’t as though I never planned to continue writing their story; I just knew it wasn’t the time to do so. Instead, I wrote Feel My Love.

Even though The One that I Love isn’t one of my most read books, it’s special to me. It was a reflection of my first year as an author. The very reason I write love stories the way I do can be seen on every page of The One I Love.

Lovely and Obi’s story is how I view love—a commitment, friendship, and partnership.
